A picture says it better than we can. These Abu Dhabi desert safari photos come from real trips with real guests: sand flying off the tyres, kids racing down dunes on sandboards, couples watching the sun drop behind the horizon, and fire dancers lighting up the camp after dark.
Scroll through, find the moments that catch your eye, and then come and make your own.
Dune Bashing
The heart of every safari. Our drivers climb, slide and glide across the red dunes in Land Cruisers built for the job.
Sunset Over the Dunes
Every evening safari stops on a high dune so you can watch the sky turn orange, pink and gold. Bring a fully charged phone.
Camel Rides and Camp Life
Gentle camel rides, Arabic coffee, henna, and long evenings in the majlis.
Quad Bikes and Dune Buggies
For guests who want to take the controls themselves.
Shows and BBQ Dinner
Tanoura spinning, fire shows, belly dance and a BBQ buffet under the stars.
Overnight Camping
After the shows end, the stars come out. Sleep in the desert and wake up to sunrise.
Desert Photography Tips From Our Drivers
Our drivers have seen thousands of sunsets, so they know where the best shots are. A few of their favourite tips:
- Shoot during the golden hour, about 45 minutes before sunset, for warm, soft light.
- Get low to the sand to capture the ripples in the dunes.
- Use burst mode during dune bashing to catch the sand spray.
- Turn off your flash at camp and use night mode for the shows.
- Protect your phone or camera from sand with a zip bag.
