Your Evening, Step by Step
Afternoon Pickup
Your driver picks you up in a comfortable 4x4 from your hotel, apartment or villa. The drive out of the city takes around 45–60 minutes, and it's a nice chance to chat with your driver, ask questions and watch the landscape change from skyline to sand.
Dune Bashing in the Red Dunes
At the edge of the desert, we let some air out of the tyres and head into the dunes. This is the part people scream, laugh and film. Our drivers climb tall ridges, glide down steep faces and swing through sandy bowls. Prefer it gentler? Just tell your driver. We tailor every ride to the people in the car.
Sunset Photo Stop
As the sun gets low, we stop on a high dune so you can step out, feel the soft sand and take photos as the desert turns gold and then deep orange. This is honestly one of the most peaceful moments of the whole trip.
Welcome to Camp
Next it's on to our Bedouin-style camp, where you're welcomed with Arabic coffee and dates. Take a short camel ride, try sandboarding on the dunes, get henna on your hands, or dress up in traditional Emirati clothing for photos.
Dinner and Live Shows
When it gets dark, the camp lights up. Settle into the majlis seating while the BBQ gets going. Dinner is a generous buffet of grilled chicken, lamb, kebabs, rice, salads, Arabic mezze, fresh bread and desserts, with plenty of vegetarian options. While you eat, enjoy a spinning Tanoura performance, a fire show and a belly dance.
Drop-Off
After dinner, your driver brings you back to your hotel, usually around 9:00–9:30 PM, tired, happy and probably with sand in your shoes.

- Wear comfortable clothes and bring sunglasses. A light jacket is useful from December to February.
